Vista Permission denied? Cant delete a damn file? I got you covered.
Make sure you have uac disabled, I have a few tips on here for that, anyways I supplied a little tweak so u can easily right click any folder or file and own the contents of every file/folder in it recursively or just own one file.
This uses takeown and icacls to own the files so you dont have to do it via cmd prompt, this is just point r-click own.

Reduce Vista Restore disk space and usage
By default Windows Vista allocates 15%-20% of your hard drive to storing System Restore points - which turns out to be a couple dozen gigabytes on a large drive. The user-friendly Windows XP slider bar which sets System Restore space has disappeared on Vista; instead a little command line action's required to reset this percentage.
To recover some of that System Restore disk space, start up Vista's command line as an administrator, and run vssadmin list shadowstorage to see the current allocation. To change it, use:
vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=[drive]: /for=[drive]: /maxsize=[size]
To limit System Restore to 1 gigabyte on the C: drive, use:
vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=C: /for=C: /maxsize=1GB

Ever just get lost in your own hard drive? I have 12 120 gig drives, add that up, and most are all full of junk back from forever, sometimes I like to do a little cleaning, I found well have been using a nice little freeware app called treesize, it will show you exactly where you are wasting space and make it easier to see what to delete and what to keep.
Every hard disk is too small if you just wait long enough. TreeSize Free tells you where precious space has gone to. TreeSize Free can be started from the context menu of a folder or drive and shows you the size of this folder, including its subfolders. You can expand this folder in Explorer-like style and you will see the size of every subfolder. Scanning is done in a thread, so you can already see results while TreeSize Free is working. The space, which is wasted by the file system, can be displayed and the results can be printed in a report. TreeSize Free is freeware for Windows 9x/2000/XP/Vista.

I recently had a need to install a program and I thought hmm.. maybe if I run as system it will install since my permissions on my system were wack. So I downloaded psexec from sysinternals because I knew they had a -s run as system switch and a -i interactive switch so I made this little app for everyone to share, btw... you can run a system prompt and kill explorer.exe and run explorer.exe as system as well hehe. Be very carefull with this, you can do allot of damage running things as system, you have more access than administrator.
I did not include a readme, if you dont know what it is, dont get it, you will be able to rightclick any Folder and open a system cmd prompt.

How to use
You can understand it intuitively through simple UI. So there is no need for instructions. Also you can update DataRecovery to new version if available through "Version info" of system menu.

If you forgot your password in vista, I found a nice little freeware app to recover AIM, MSN, Live, ICQ, Trillian, Passwords, its completely free and easy to use and it works in vista too :)

If you forgot your password or if your friend/exfriend or girlfriend logged in you can grab there password too lol, its a usefull little app if you have your passwords saved and forgot your pass.
When you run MessenPass, it automatically detects the Instant Messenger applications installed on your computer, decrypts the passwords they store, and displays all user name/password pairs that it found in the main window of MessenPass. If from some reason, MessenPass fails to locate the installed Instant Messenger application, you can try to manually select the right folder of your IM application by using 'Select Folders' option (from the File menu).
On the main window of MessenPass, you can select one or more password items, and then copy them to the clipboard in tab-delimited format (you can paste this format into Excel or Open-Office Spreadsheet), or save them into text/html files.

Disable Vista Services that you do not need
Vista running slow? You know why? Microsoft has everything enabled, more than 50 percent of all of the services you do not need, and as time passes, these represent a security risk because hackers will eventually find a way to exploit 1 or more of these services, other than that disabling what you do not need will save Ram, cpu load, and energy.

Remove Vista Optional Features you do not need
If you installed Vista yourself and have experience installing previous Windows OSes, you surely noticed that Vista hardly asks any questions about your computer—and what you plan to do with it—than did prior OSes. Windows Vista makes all kinds of assumptions about your computing habits and the features you may or may not need, and it inevitably installs some overhead that you simply don't need. You can get rid of it. Windows XP had the Add/Remove Windows Features button in the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs applet, and Vista has something like it.
1. Press the windows key and type in optionalfeatures.exe and press enter
You will see this..
2. Check the list of features. Each feature has a checkbox which, if filled, indicates the feature is installed. If you hover the mouse over a feature, a help tooltip appears to tell you what it is.
3. Uncheck any feature you don't need. Some of the features are headings with a sub-list below them; just click the little + sign to expand.
Here is a tip, if you dont know what it is, you dont need it.
